RE, The Prologue is a short film that screened at film festivals around the country, winning multiple awards.
SYNOPSIS
Marcus di Pino is an actor who died of AIDS in 1986 at the age of 29 and who is resurrected to live the 50th year of his life. A life he never got to have.
Never one to be satisfied with big wins, Marcus demands rewrites. He is so dismayed by the rural Pennsylvania setting, the cast of off-center characters, and various mid-life defects, Marcus revolts against the play and vaporizes the 4th wall.
Is it Shakespeare? Hardly. In his Fleabag type of delivery, Marcus drags us into the messy, hilarious, and inglorious life of a real artist. By giving an encore to one unknown, flawed, and magnificent artist, we understand the devastation of losing a generation of talented gay men.
Shot on a sound stage and incorporating the magic of digital technology, RE immerses the audience into a world where the present and past combine to generate this performance of a lifetime.
